Minnesota Student Survey: Getting the Most Out of Your Student Survey Data - Next Steps

Click here to download the 2008 Spring Regional ATOD Forums (pdf)

Presenters:

Ali Anfinson, Geri Graham and Nancy Reistenberg
Minnesota Department of Education

About the forum:

Back by popular demand, the Spring Regional ATOD Forums will take place at various locations throughout Minnesota between March 31 and April 10. A presenter from the Minnesota Department of Education will cover ways you can use your Minnesota Student Survey data. We'll examine 30 key indicators from the student survey; discuss context and meaning of these data; and compare local, regional and statewide data. We'll brainstorm and challenge your notions of how to present these data to schools and community organizations. We'll also talk about collaboration and how to use materials, including state and regional data tables, trend reports and tools to use in your presentations and planning. We encourage you to bring a team of individuals from your community-perhaps the Safe and Drug Free Schools coordinator, teachers and administrators, local public health and community agency staff, law enforcement officers and parents. Youth are also welcome to attend! In addition, there will be a working lunch session offered (only) to Safe and Drug Free Schools coordinators about applying for SDFS funding and using the required e-application.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
This event is free and pre-registration is required. Participants must register at least one week prior to the forum they will attend. There will be no on-site registration. If, after you register, you find you cannot attend, please give us a courtesy call informing us of your inability to attend. Also, someone else from your organization may attend in your place.

For more information about the training, please email Kevin Spading at kspading@miph.org or call him at (763) 427-5310 or 800-782-1878.
